Cumbria is a county of great variety and contrasts. Many people think of Cumbria as synonymous with the Lake District National Park and its awe-inspiring scenery of lakes and fells. However, by venturing into the peripheral areas around the Park, you will be richly rewarded with a diversity of landscapes, history and culture.

Walking tours are in the region of £130 (half day) to £200 (full day). For example, a half-day walking tour with a group size of 20 would cost £6.50 each. Some of the walking tours can be combined with travel on public buses to offer linear routes.
Cycling tours include the hire of an electric bicycle and are priced per person. Tours on electric bikes vary from £35 to £60 per person, with a minimum group size of 4.
Minibus tours can be arranged using your own transport or including hire of a minibus or coach. Coach sizes range from a 16-seat minibus to a 52-seat coach.
Using your own transport, the rate is £130 to £200 per day per group. With transport included, the rate is £350 to £450 per day per group. Depending on the size of the vehicle, this could work out as little as £7 per person per day.
